FAQ

Fair questions, straight answers

If you were contacted by us out of the blue, being cautious is sensible. Here is what you should know.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a paid service?

Producing your feature is free. That includes the prompts or voice session, the writing and the layout preview. No payment details are requested.

If you approve the finished draft in writing, there is one flat $110.00 USD USA Wire publication fee. If you do not approve, you pay nothing. See Pricing.

Why did I receive your email?

We contact published independent authors whose books we think could suit a spotlight feature. The email is an invitation, not an invoice, and there is nothing you need to do if you are not interested.

If you would rather not hear from us, reply to the email and say so.

How did you choose my book?

We work with published authors who have standalone books. We read your book and choose one title to feature, so the feature is about a specific book rather than a generic profile.

Who will see my feature?

After your approval, your feature is published on USA Wire (usawire.com), an independent paid news-wire service, and on our website, thebookmonger.online. Both are public pages anyone can visit. You also receive a press layout to share on your own channels.

We do not promise a particular number of readers. Your written agreement lists exactly where your feature appears.

Can I decline after seeing the draft?

Yes. If you decline, nothing is published, nothing is charged, your files are deleted, and we do not follow up unless you ask us to.

How can I verify The Book Monger is legitimate?

Check that our email comes from hello@thebookmonger.online, the same domain as this website. Read the live features in our Portfolio, published on USA Wire. Review our Business Details and Verify Us pages.

Most importantly, you never pay anything before you have seen the finished draft and approved it in writing.

What results can I realistically expect?

A professionally written feature about your book, published on USA Wire and our website, and a press layout you can use yourself.

We do not guarantee sales, reviews, search rankings or Google indexing. Results vary from author to author, and anyone who promises otherwise should be treated with caution.

Do I keep the rights to my content?

Your book and your answers remain yours. You keep editorial control of the feature: nothing is published without your written approval, and you can request a takedown. See our Author Agreement and Approval Policy.

Do I have to do a call?

No. The Written Track is email only: 3 short editorial prompts, answered in your own time. The Voice Session Track, a 15-minute remote conversation, is optional.

How do I contact a real person?

Email hello@thebookmonger.online or use our contact form. A person reads every message and replies.

Still have a question?

Ask us anything before you share a single detail about your book.
